Designing education and training at the Technion to support the processes of knowledge learning and skill development required for leading graduates in the 21st century
The center operates on several fronts to advance its vision:
- Vision Development: Supporting faculties and deans, identifying challenges and opportunities.
- Knowledge, Value, and Quality Development:
– Identifying effective teaching and learning practices, implementing them, and anchoring them in regulations.
– Adapting research-based teaching to the Technion environment.
– Distributing knowledge at the forefront of scientific-engineering education at the Technion, in Israel, and worldwide.
- Establishing appropriate institutional infrastructure: recording studios, computing infrastructure, data collection and accessibility.
- Supporting teaching staff: training and workshops, guidance, and feedback.
- Evaluation and Measurement:
– Evaluation of teaching quality at the course, faculty, and institutional levels.
– Conducting the lecturer and course evaluation survey.
– Developing methods for course evaluation and feedback.
Positioning the Technion as a Learning Organization: Establishment of organizational infrastructure to support the development of intra- and inter-disciplinary education and training.
